About the Kalkaska DDA


Creating a vibrant business district

The objective of the Kalkaska DDA is to establish a vibrant, attractive business district that meets the needs of the community and enhances the quality of life for its residents and all who visit The Village.

The Kalkaska DDA is a Board of volunteers within the Village of Kalkaska local government.  Our DDA Staff and Board serve the DDA District by promoting the growth, development, and maintenance of public facilities.

DDA Boundary

On April 24, 1989, the Village of Kalkaska Downtown Development Authority (DDA) was created by the ordinance of the Village Council.  Authority was given all of the powers and duties described for a DDA pursuant to Act 1997.
